Dear Parents/Caregivers
At least once every two years the boards of trustees is required consult with the parent community about the school's health education programmes. The purpose of this consultation is to: outline the programmes that we are delivering, how we are delivering health education and what we see as the health education needs of our students.
This page will offer an outline of these areas and there are also attachments available to view our health programme and offer your ideas or suggestions.
Health Education need of Students at Paekakariki School.
In general terms we believe that the overall health of our students is very good. There is little obesity and because of school programmes and the environment that we live in the fitness levels of the students are pleasing. Students generally have nourishing food to eat and healthy lunches and snacks are brought to school. Our students generally relate well to each other and value themselves. The senior students mix with the younger students in a range of ways which creates a family type environment within the school.
